The Tyrant Ten: Week 3

 

The Tyrant Ten showcases small school Seniors, who have had outstanding weeks on the gridiron.

 

1) King Frazier: (North Dakota State-FCS, RB, Senior)
Last Game: #13 Iowa (23-21 Win)

NDSU won a stunner over FBS ranked Iowa, on a last second field goal. Frazier’s bruising running style was very effective on the Hawkeyes, particularly later in the game. Though NDSU used a RB by committee approach, King still had 16 attempts for 99 yards and a TD. The Bison pulled one of their biggest upsets ever in Iowa.

 

 

2) Ryan Radke: (Thiel-D3, QB, Senior)
Last Game: Bethany (57-47 Win)

Ryan makes our list once again, as he exploded for 414 yards and 5 touchdowns offensively. He went 15-29 for 263 and 3 touchdowns through the air, he added 151 yards rushing and 2 more touchdowns.

 

 

3) Karter Schult: (Northern Iowa-FCS, DE, Senior)
Last Game: Eastern Washington (34-30 Loss)

UNI loses another close one, but still look like a team who could threaten in the playoffs. Senior Defensive End, Karter Schult, had another great night. He notched his first career interception, to go along with his 7 total tackles, 3.5 tackles for a loss and 2.5 sacks.

 

 

4) Eli Jenkins: (Jacksonville State-FCS, QB, Senior)
Last Game: Coastal Carolina (27-26 Win)

Jacksonville State had a big win over Coastal Carolina, who is transitioning towards the FBS. Eli Jenkins had a big game to get them back on track. He went 18-34 for 248 yards and 2 touchdowns, he also added 111 yards on the ground and another score.

 

 

5) Jake Melville (Colgate-FCS, QB, Senior)
Last Game: Yale ( 55-13 Win)

Jake had an epic game, as Colgate mauled Yale behind the throwing prowess of the Senior QB. Melville went 22-32 for 315 yards and 5 touchdowns.

 

 

6) Damon Benham: (Bemidji State-D2, DB, Senior)
Last Game: Wayne State (45-17 Win)

Bemidji State improves to 3-0, and Benham had a a hand in that. He had four tackles, 2 interceptions (1 returned for a touchdown), and 2 pass break ups.He looked like a playmaker in that secondary.

 

 

7) Don King III: (Slippery Rock-D2, QB, Senior)
Last Game: Lock Haven (59-23 Win)

Slippery Rock cruises to 3-0 under the arm of King, as they easily dismantled Lock Haven. King went 33-49 for 411 yards and 3 touchdowns, and added 46 yards on the ground. King looked cool and steady as he led the team to a win.

 

 

8) Tyke Kozeal: (Nebraska-Kearney-D2, LB, Senior)
Last Game: Northwest Missouri (52-14 Loss)

Though his team lost, Senior Linebacker Tyke Kozeal battled the entire game. He racked up 19 tackles and 1 TFL. He’s been a stalwart on that defense, and should add to a solid career throughout the year.

 

 

9) Mason Dixon: (Beloit-D3, RB, Senior)
Last Game: Grinnell (72-17 Win)

Mason contributed to the blowout win, show casing explosive talent. He took 12 attempts for 131 yards and a touchdown, including a 60 yard scamper. He’s a been a steady presence at the RB position, and continues to impress.

 

 

10) Nick Lamb: (Muhlenberg-D3, WR, Senior)
Last Game: Mcdaniel (42-13 Win)

Nick showed great rapport with QB Nick Palladino, as they connected for 8 receptions for 82 yards and 3 touchdowns.They coasted easily to the win.
