What is your name, school, and position?

Jylan Ware, Alabama State University, OT

What is your height and weight?

6’7″ 315

What do you consider your biggest asset on the field?

I consider my biggest asset to be my athleticism and the way I move.

Why did you choose your current college to further your football career?

I chose Alabama State because I felt like it was a better fit for me coming out of high school

What is something about yourself, that most people don’t know?

Nothing much that I can think of. I’m a open book

What is one area of your game that you would like to improve, and what’s your plan to do so?

I need to work on cleaning up my technique. I know the coach’s and vets in the NFL can help me with that.

Who is the best player that you’ve played against so far in your career?

I’ve faced a lot of great players form different levels of the game and they were all good at their own thing so it is hard to pick just one guy.

Who is your favorite NFL player at your position and why?

I would say Armstead who plays for the Saints. Not only does he play my position he is also a SWAC guy.

What NFL team is your favorite and why?

My favorite NFL team going forward is whoever picks me up in the draft.

Any parting words for your fans or friends?

My parting words to any fans and friends would be thank you for all of the love and support.




Additional Information

2015: SWAC Preseason 2nd team All American

2014: Fought through injuries last season and managed to start 10 of the 11 games he saw action in…helped the Hornets average almost 228 yards rushing per game while also averaging 30 points and 436 yards per game.

2013: Played in two games as a freshman, against Grambling State (9/21) and against Stillman (11/28).

Jylan Ware is one of the hottest names amongst small school circles right now. He has the size and athleticism that you look for at Offensive Tackle. He had two good showings in All-Star environments (College Gridiron Showcase and The HBCU Spirit Bowl).
